Sokone Training Academy philosophy
We advocate the assessment and development of learners as both a means of individual empowerment and a sustainable tool for solving business challenges. We’re committed to delivering value through efficient project management training, reliability, seamless processes and exceptional results. We pre-assess participants’ levels of knowledge and competency before they join our academy to determine which course is most suitable for their development objectives. Following completion on the course, we run post-assessments to evaluate their progression.

Learnerships
Considering the social and economic disparities created by South Africa’s long history of Apartheid, the new government sought to transform skills development in the country. To address the extremely high levels of unemployment, learnerships were introduced as work-based learning programmes which would lead to NQF-registered qualifications.
Learnerships are related to occupations and varying fields of work and are managed by Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs). These programmes are specifically aimed at unemployed youth with a Matriculation (NQF 4) Certificate. Sokone Training Academy can facilitate the following programmes within Information Technology and Service SETA which help participants gain their recognised qualification and makes them more workplace ready.

- National Certificate - Information Technology: End User Computing (12 months – NQF Level 3 – 130 credits)
- Further Education Training Certificate - Information Technology: Support: A Plus/N Plus (12 months – NQF Level 4 – 163 credits)
